The 5 Stages of Every Painting

Did you know that there are stages every painting goes through?

There are 5 distinct stages and each stage presents unique challenges.  Knowing what stage you are in helps you to move through the painting process more easily.  That's especially true for those times when you are stuck and don't know what to do next.

In this video I will describe each of the five stages and what to expect from each. It helps your painting process to know which stage you are in.

In addition, you will watch me paint a large 5x7’ abstract painting with acrylic on canvas. During the painting process I will be showing you what stage I am in and how I move on to the next stage.
